On Tuesday, October 9, 2018, the Otsego Soil & Water Conservation Districts will host a Soil Health and Cover Crop meeting. This event will be held at Oneonta State University, Morris Conference Center, Oneonta, New York. The meeting will commence at 10:30 A.M. and conclude at 3:30 P.M.

Guest speakers for this meeting are Steve Lorraine, District Manager for the Madison County Soil & Water Conservation District, Karl Czymmeck, Department of Animal Science at Cornell University, and Steve Groff, Penn. crop farmer, and Cover Crops Coach.

Topics for discussion will include cover crops on a multi countywide basis, improving your soil health, soil biology, and what really goes on underground. Cover cropping goals, and why cover crops are right for your farm.

This is a must-attend meeting for all landowners, crop farmers and folks with livestock, who have an interest in saving and improving soil quality for the next generation. Bring your questions to our qualified presenters. This meeting will be both informative and educational.
