While working for the Cornell Alumni Student Program, updating information on recent alumni who are involved in the program I just realized that Cornell alumni in general have a very successful life after Cornell. Throughout the list, I saw a lot of entrepenuers, a lot of Vice-Presidents/Presidents of companies, a lot of district attorneys/judges (including a couple Supreme Court). It just made me realize how successful the Cornell alumni network is. It is one thing to have a few people becoming successful after college, but going through the list I saw that everyone had jobs reflecting leadership. It just makes me feel like all this hard work, nights without sleep completing problem sets and studying for prelims, isn’t going to waste and that after college I will have great opportunities as far as jobs go. This also makes me want to think about how can I further network with this alumni in the hopes of getting an internship, because I could desperately use one. Oh well. Oh yea just to make a public announcement my birthday is Friday September 28 so if any readers feel so gracious to send me a monetary gift (if you don’t know what that means it means money!!!) feel free to write a comment below and I will be sure to get into contact with you.
