Free Workshops: Grow Your Farm Sales with Social Media

Farmers in the Capital Region are invited to attend a free workshop to help jump-start or fine-tune your social media plans. Learn how to get started with Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, or find new ways to freshen up existing accounts. Wherever you are with your social media plan, walk away with something new. The workshop will feature overviews of each service, as well as practical tips for putting each one to good use. You are encouraged to bring your laptop, tablet, or smartphone to get some hands-on practice.

The workshops will be held from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. for the following dates and locations:

  • March 9th at Cornell Cooperative Extension Columbia and Greene Counties, 479 Rt. 66, Hudson NY;
  • March 15th at Cornell Cooperative Extension Rensselaer County, 61 State St., Troy, NY
  • March 17th at Cornell Cooperative Extension Saratoga County, 50 W. High St., Ballston Spa NY.

We are pleased to present these workshops as part of the Harvest Connection project, which includes the development of a regional, mobile-friendly website and social media to promote Capital Region farms. The project is made possible with funding through the USDA Specialty Crop Block Grant Program.
